Scotmid is the largest independent co-operative society in Scotland with 266 stores, including grocery stores, and the Semi-Chem chain of health and beauty stores.

The Problem

Dissatisfied with their existing retail systems provider in the late 1990's, Scotmid were keen to find an improved system. Three key areas were identified, where they hoped a new I.T. system would offer significant improvements. Scotmid sought to:

• Improve internal efficiencies
• Minimise wastage
• Increase sales

The Solution
