VME Retail recognise the unique requirements of EPOS within the Coffee shop environment. Often faced with queues of customers and specific requirements for each one, the coffee shop EPOS system needs to be able to handle all of the combinations likely to be sold whilst still making it easy for the operator to use. Spending minutes with each customer going through endless sub menus to find what the operator is looking for is an obvious no-no, yet its a common method of dealing with the ‘almost infinite combinations’ requirements of coffee shop owners. VME Retail’s product, IntelliStore, gets round this by having a switchable “Coffee Shop” mode within its POS application, which makes it 10 times faster to navigate than traditional EPOS systems. IntelliStore handles eat in and takeaway seamlessly, allowing split baskets where some items within the basket are eaten inside, yet some are taken away to be eaten elsewhere. With one press of a button the operator can easily switch between the two modes mid basket, making it easy to operate, easy to train, and less prone to mistakes. Multiple Coffee ShopsFor customers with multiple coffee shops, VME Retail recommends implementing IntelliStore Head Office running on a Microsoft Windows Server with MS SQL Server at your head office, connected to an IntelliStore Back Office in each store. The back office server will use Microsoft Vista running MS SQL Express which is sufficient for coffee shops and reduces costs to the retailer. Each of the point of sale tills in your stores will run IntelliStore POS on your chosen OPOS compliant till hardware. VME Retail recommends and supplies IBM EPOS hardware. Single Coffee ShopVME Retail have a number of customers who are using IntelliStore successfully in their own shop.
