Of all the standard functionality within IntelliStore, automatic ordering is the one we're most proud of. And rightly so - it saves our customers hundreds of thousands of man hours each year by taking the hard work out of ordering.

Algorithms

Using algorithms developed over 10 years, IntelliStore can generate orders for all departments in your business - including fresh and short life chilled items.

Formulas

IntelliStore has 6 different fomulas available, which covers the different ordering requirements for products within your store. For example, the formula for tinned beans will be different to the formula used for yoghurts. Chains Product chains allow you to group products together for ordering algorithms and formulas.

Seasons

Setting up seasons allows you to uplift orders for products automatically. Sales on christmas eve may be 200% higher than an average day - seasons lets the system order enough stock in to make sure you don't run out and lose sales.

Case rounding

You set the rules - if the system decided you need 7 items in your next order, and they come in cases of 6 - do you risk it and order only 1 case, or order 2 cases? IntelliStore lets you set the rules.

Profiles

Every product on your shelves is given a profile. This is the minimum stock level you would like to have on your shelves at all times. IntelliStore uses this, along with sales history and the various formulas and algorithms to work out how much to order.

Profiles can be setup on a HHT or on the PC, making it a quick and easy one off thing you need to do.

Promotions

Products on promotion throw up all kinds of complications for automatic ordering - but IntelliStore has it cracked. As well as the default number of weeks used to calculate average sales, you can now define the number of weeks for daily average sales while on promotion, number of weeks for daily average sales after promotion has finished, and the number of weeks to qualify as a long term promotion.

Promotional Profiles

Products on promotion often are setup in additional positions around your store - in aisle ends or at the front of the store for example. If you setup a promotional profile for these products, IntelliStore will handle the additional ordering required. It will even let you decide when you want to run the stock levels down, in anticipation of your next period's promotions which need the space.

Reporting

IntelliStore comes with all the reports you'd expect to run automatic orders as standard. One particular report we're fond of is the forecase accuracy, which allows you to look back and compare sales IntelliStore predicted versus actual sales.
